Modi Brings Money Into Banks, Nirav Modi Loots It!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Feb 2018 7:01 AM GMTCongress President Rahul Gandhi came all guns blazing at Prime Minister Narendra Modi while responding on the Punjab National Bank scam by Nirav Modi. 'PM is answerable to the nation as 90 percent of the fraudulent transactions happened during NDA regime. He has to come out and explain how did this happen. The whole country need to know what action would this Government take,' he said to reporters after the Congress Steering Committee meeting.
Rahul Gandhi alleges Punjab National Bank scam had actually started on November 8th, 2016, when Modi announced Demonetisation. 'It was on that day, PM put the money of all the Indians into banks. Now, His friends and cronies have looted it. This is a Rs 22,000 crore scam. Such a big scam wouldn't have happened without the knowledge of people within the Government. The finances of the country has been destroyed with demonetisation. What will PM do now to ensure banks are safe?,' he questions.
Mr.Gandhi comments PM have time for delivering a one-and-a-half hour speech to teach children how they should prepare for board exams but not to say a single word about PNB scam. 'Social Justice Minister and Defence Minister reacted on the scam. Why were PM and Finance Minister who are responsible for it remained silent? PM has to explain to the nation how a scam of such magnitude escaped statutory audit, internal audit, concurrent audit and RBI audit,' demanded the Congress Chief.
