PM Modi Salutes Martyred Soldiers On Republic Day

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Naravane, Air Force Chief RKS Bhaduria and Navy Chief Karambir Singh were present to witness the first of its kind moment.
President of India Ram Nath Kovind hoisted the national flag at Rajpath, Delhi. He was accompanied by Brazil President Jair Bolsonara who is India's special guest for Republic Day celebrations. PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Former PM Manmohan Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla were present. After the flag hoisting, 2233 Field Battery led by Lieutenant Colonel C Sandeep presented the 21 Gun Salute.
2020's First Mann Ki Baat will be happening Today. To avoid clash with Republic Day celebrations, The timing of the monthly radio programme has been changed from 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday. This will be NaMo's 61st edition of the radio address.
