5 Workers killed in AP's Aqua Food Park
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 March 2017 8:55 AM GMTFive Workers of an Aqua Food Processing Plant at Nallavari Cheruvu village of Mogalturu in West Godavari died on Thursday after inhaling poisonous gas while cleaning the Chemical Tank.
On Thursday Morning, Five Workers entered into the Chemical Tank of Anand Aqua Exports which is a prawn processing and export plant. Three of them died on the sport itself. Two others breathed their last while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mogalturu.
The deceased were identified as Thota Srinivasa Rao, Boddu Rambabu, Eega Edukondalu, Jakkamsetty Praveen and N Edukondalu.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu spoke with West Godavari Collector Bhaskar over phone and directed him to take necessary relief measures. YCP Chief Jagan landed in Mogalturu soon after knowing about he tragedy to console the kin of the deceased. Collector has ordered Anand Aqua Exports to stop its operations with immediate effect.
This tragedy turns a huge headache for TDP Government when protests were conducted against the new Aqua Food Park near Bhimavaram.
