Noted celebrity perfumer Monika Ghurde was found dead in her 3-bedroom flat in Goa on Thursday. Cops had arrested Raj Kumar Singh who once worked as security guard of the Apartment where Monika lives after the preliminary investigation. Some shocking facts were revealed during police interrogation…
Monika Ghurde came to Sapna Raj Valley apartments located at Sangolda on June 7th this year is search of a rented flat. He enquired with security guard Raj Kumar Singh about the vacant flats and moved to there within few days. Since then, The security guard kept track of Monika as he was attracted to her and found out that she stays alone.
On July 22nd, Raj Kumar Singh lost his job because of Monika Ghurde's complaint against him over her umbrella and the employer hasn't paid him two months salary (Rs 20,000). Later, Mr.Singh pleaded her to withdraw her complaint on couple of occasions. Thereafter, He came up with a plan for the crime.
On Wednesday evening, Raj Kumar Singh rang the door bell of Monika's flat and he took the knife soon after she opened the door. At first, He over-powered her, took her into the bathroom and then tied her hands & legs in the bedroom. When she was in a sub-conscious state, He sexually assaulted her after forcing her to watch three porn clips. Later, He threatened her to give debit/credit cards after finding just Rs 4,000 in her purse. Before leaving the spot, He strangled Monika and took away her mobile phone.
DIG Vimal Gupta told Raj Kumar Singh's lust and grudge on Monika Ghurde led to the crime. The accused has withdraw Rs 1 lakh from Monika's cards after the murder. CCTV Footage, ATM Card Transactions and Mobile Signals helped Cops to trace the accused.
