Police halts Prithvi Shaw, after he fails to show an e-pass!
By: Tupaki Desk | 14 May 2021 2:01 PM GMTIt is known that Maharashtra is the severely hit state in the country with the Covid-19 impact. To tackle the virus spread, the government imposed restrictions to restrict the movements of people within and outside the state.
However, the restrictions have reportedly bothered young Indian player Prithvi Shaw, who plays for Delhi Capitals in IPL, after he was stopped by the cops, en route to Goa from Maharashtra's Kolhapur.
It is said that the cops stopped the player as he didn't have the e-pass which is mandatory to travel in and around Maharashtra. When the cops asked the Right-Hand batsman to show his e-pass he said, he doesn't have any pass.
As he didn't have the mandatory e-pass, Prithvi Shaw appalled for one through online using his mobile phone. The Maharashtra Police allowed the batsman to go ahead with his journey after he got his pass. Until he acquired an e-pass, Shaw was halted in the Amboli district.
Prithvi Shaw received a brief break after the IPL was postponed by BCCI given the Covid scare. The BCCI didn't name him in the Indian squad that will play the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final and five Tests against the English team.
Shaw had a great IPL season this time. In eight matches, Shaw smashed 308 runs, including three half-centuries.
