IT Raids happened on TTD Chairman & TDP Mydukur MLA Candidate Putta Sudhakar recently. A day after this development, A search operation was conducted in the house of TDP Rajya Sabha MP CM Ramesh.
CM Ramesh made a hue & cry over the search operation in his residence. He staged a dharna alleging the raid is politically motivated and only TDP Leaders are cornered in this manner.
What's wrong if searches were conducted out of suspicion ahead of the elections? Police have been checking the belongings of the common man when they were travelling in vehicles to prevent bribing of voters. When the election code of conduct comes into affect, Police have the right to conduct searches at any location. Why should CM Ramesh be treated differently? It's an open fact that Ruling Party Leaders will be distributing more money to the voters than Opposition Leaders ahead of the polling. Recently, Jayabheri Group Employees were caught red handed with Rs 2 crore cash when they were shifting it to Rajahmundry. What can CM Ramesh say about it? Should the police allow the politicians bribe the voters as per their wish?
