The situation was different until yesterday but the latest orders of the Supreme Court has become a huge blow to BJP. It is known that Governor has invited the single largest party BJP to form the government and Yeddyurappa sworn in as the Chief Minister. Supreme Court has raised objections for giving 15 days for BJP to prove its majority in the house and asked to take the floor test on Saturday at 4 pm. This has raised the heat in the state politics again.
1. It is known that Yeddyurappa has been taking a controversial decision as soon as he took the reigns as the CM. He has appointed the nominated MLA even before he proved his majority in the house. The opposition parties have fired on the CM for taking such controversial decisions. The court has ordered the CM not to take any such decision. Court asked them to appoint pro-tem speaker.. and asked the government not to appoint the leaders in any positions. It has directed Yeddyurappa to take policy decision only after winning in the floor test.
2. Governor Vajubhai Vala reacted to the Supreme Court verdict. He has been holding discussions with 12 law experts in the Raj Bhavan. He is also making preparations to issue notification for the emergency meeting of the assembly.
3. It is known that BJP claimed that they have the majority to form the government and they have submitted a letter to the governor. But it has gone to the notice of the Supreme court that the BJP only claimed they have support but the letter didn't reveal the names and other details of the MLAs. The letter submitted to governor By Yeddyurappa only has his signature along with the claim that he has a majority.
4. Karnataka Congress leaders Parameswar.. DK Sivakumar brushed aside the rumours that they are absconding for the past two days. They have revealed that they are not hurried as Yeddyurappa and the BJP MLAs are in touch with them.
5. CM Yeddyurappa has responded to the Supreme Court order. He exuded confidence that his government will succeed in the floor test and they are ready for the floor test. He claimed that he has the support of enough MLAs and he will follow Supreme Court orders.
