Many TDP, BJP leaders Trying To Jump Into YSRCP
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Aug 2018 1:55 PM GMTTime has now come in poll-bound Andhra Pradesh for floor crossing. Political watchers are expecting large-scale desertions from the ruling Telugu Desam Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. As for Telugu Desam, many of its MLAs are sulking and angry. They are upset that Chandrababu Naidu, despite his much-claimed lobbying skills, could not secure special status for Andhra Pradesh. They feel that with the anti-incumbency rising menacingly, it is better to leave the TDP. They are either looing towards the YSRCP or the Jana Sena. Most Kapu leaders are looking towards the Jana Sena for obvious reasons.
Already senior leader and deputy CM KE Krishna Murthy has been criticizing the TDP boss day in and day out. Even Minister Ayyanna Patrudu was uncharacteristically harsh when he said that the people will lynch us if the TDP joins hands with the Congress. Many say this is only the beginning and that more and more people would follow suit.
Even in the BJP, there is a lingering doubt about the people's support. They are dogged by a feeling of guilt as they have failed to secure special status for AP. Many leaders are looking to join the YSRCP. So, expect lot of floor crossings in the days to come.
