Politicians Under Detention Should Be Released: Stalin
By: Tupaki Desk | 28 Jan 2020 8:59 AM GMTEver since the BJP has abrogated Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Farooq Abdullah, and Mehbooba Mufti were house arrested and the trio is still under the control of the government.
Recently the photo of Omar Abdullah was released and the pic became viral on social media with many leaders showing concern about the situation and health of the former CM. Now DMK Supremo MK Stalin joined the list and said it's very sad to see a leader like him in this situation.
DMK is anti-BJP from the beginning and it has opposed all the bills proposed by the Saffron party be it Article 370 or the recent NCC.
Stalin took to Twitter to share his opinion on keeping the former CM in captivation.
"Deeply troubled to see this picture of @OmarAbdullah. Equally concerned about Farooq Abdullah, @MehboobaMufti & other Kashmiri leaders who are incarcerated without trial or due process. Union Govt must immediately release all political prisoners and restore normalcy in Valley," read Stalins Tweet.
From the time Article 370 was abrogated by the Centre, the three leaders were under the detention from August 2019 and the entire valley was kept under the curfew.
