Speculations had surfaced that Kareena Kapoor could be the Congress Candidate for Bhopal Lok Sabha Constituency. A BJP Leader in Madhya Pradesh sought the appointment of CM Kamal Nath to convince him to bring Kareena into the party and make her contest from Bhopal for attracting the youth. 'If Kareena contests from Bhopal, Congress will surely win the seat which was held by BJP for so long,' said Corporator Yogendra Singh.
However, Kareena Kapoor denied having any political aspirations. She clarified nobody brought any such proposal to her so far and her focus continues to be only on the movies.
On the film front, 'Good News' is the upcoming flick of Kareena Kapoor. The film also stars Akshay Kumar and Diljit Dosanjh.
Kareena essays the role of Shah Jehan's Daughter Jahanara Begum in Karan Johar's Mughal backdrop flick 'Takht'. It’s a multi-starrer featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Bhumi Pednekar.
