Jagan's Fasting Decision Emptied YSRCP In Telangana

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have given up to stop defections from his party. After suffered with mass exodus in Andhra Pradesh now the party was emptied in Telanagana state. Telangana state president and lone MP from the state Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday announced his decision to joining the ruling TRS party. Srinivas Reddy and Venkateshwarlu, member of Telangana assembly from Pinapaka constituency in Khammam district, announced on Monday that they resigned from the party.
Both told reporters in Khammam that they will formally join the TRS on May 4. He further said that he is joining the TRS for the development of Khammam district. Srinivas Reddy criticized Jagan's decision to go on fast to protest irrigation projects in Telangana state.
"It is one-sided. He took the decision despite knowing fully well that this will put us in a difficult position in Telangana. I am having good respect on Jagan and his father late YSR. But I am joining ruling TRS for the sake of telangana development." Said Srinivas Reddy
It's known that Jagan had announced that he will undertake three-day fast from May 16 to 18 at Kurnool to protest against the "illegal diversion" of Krishna water by Telangana. YSRCP party had bagged three assembly seats, all from Khammam district in 2014 elections. Two MLAs of YSRCP joined TRS last year. Telanagana Information Technology Minister K.T. Rama Rao personally went to the residence of Srinivas Reddy in Khammam and invited him to join TRS
