PK to be AP's Brand Ambassador for Handloom

Leading actress Samantha is the brand ambassador for Handlooms in Telangana. May be, This move by the TRS Government prompted AP CM to appoint an Actress to promote handlooms in his state.
On Monday, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu graced the inaugural of the Indian Open Snooker World ranking tournament. Poonam Kaur who was one of chief guests for the event confessed that she is a huge fan of TDP Supremo. Before the conclusion of the event, Babu surprised everyone by announcing that Poonam would be the brand ambassador for handloom.
AP CM's unexpected move drew criticism. People questioned what will be the use of appointing an Actress who got fadeout as brand ambassador. Majority of the public felt at least an Actress who could match the stature of Samantha & someone who have good fan following should have been preferred. Appointing a brand ambassador alone can't develop handloom industry. In Telangana, Handloom-based Fashion Shows have been conducted, Handloom Products were presented to Prominent Personalities and Several Handloom Outlets have been established by Government to create awareness and increase the living standards of weavers. A committed long term plan is needed to bail out handloom industry from the crisis.
