The matter which is written on the poster in the Tamil language is read as- "PV Gopalan''s granddaughter is victorious".
Kamala Harris has her roots from Tamil Nadu as her mother Shyamala Gopalan was born and brought up in Chennai. Later she moved to the United States for further studies and settled there.
