BJP's controversial MLA from Goshamahal appears to be more dangerous inside the prison than outside. Some agitation or the other is happening in some place or the other is happening demanding his speedy release from Chanchalguda prison. Several towns in Maharashtra and even in Karnataka have witnessed such protests.
The latest shocker was in the India-Pakistan match that happened in Australia as part of the T 20 World Cup tourney. Several supporters of Raja Singh showed posters of Raja Singh in the cricket stadium. Several were seen chanting slogans demanding the release of the BJP's Goshamahal MLA.
Raja Singh was arrested after there was tension following his caustic comments against a particular religion. However, he was arrested under the Preventive Detention Act over some past comments he made against the religion. Raja Singh could serve a maximum of one year in prison in this case.
Raja Singh's supporters chose the Australian stadium to showcase their solidarity with the arrested leader. Raja Singh is an unabashed Hindutva protagonist and has landed in several controversies due to his acid tongue and acerbic videos which are particularly directed against the Muslim community.
