By: Tupaki Desk | 3 Sep 2021 2:42 PM GMTIt is known that the issue of objectionable posts and comments against the judiciary was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) from the CID by the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The CBI is investigating the issue intensely.
As a big breakthrough in the case, the objectionable posts and comments against the judges and judiciary were taken down by the CBI from the social media platforms. These posts aim at targeting the judges.
Media reports have quoted CBI spokesperson R C Joshi saying that all the social media posts that aim at criticizing the Judges and judiciary have been identified and such posts are removed from the social media platforms
During the probe, the CBI officials have slapped 16 members with the cases under sections 153a, 504, 505(2), 506. One Lingareddy Rajasekhar Reddy, who is said to be the activist of the ruling YSRCP was also arrested by the CBI in connection with the case.
A charge sheet was filed by the CBI in this regard that mentions a few people who reportedly made derogatory posts and comments against the judiciary system. The CBI had managed to trace 13 out of the 16 accused. The other three were abroad. Three of the 13 accused were sent to jail after they were produced in court.
The posts against the judiciary are said to be made by the social media pages that are pro YSRCP. These posts are allegedly made against the judiciary for the reason that the verdicts in a lot of cases came against the government.
