Pranab Mukherjee Reacts On EVMs Tampering

Former President Pranab Mukherjee responded on the allegations of EVMs tampering by the 22 Opposition Parties. He opined Election Commission should take the responsibility of safety and security of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
Few Videos of EVMs transportation and alleged tampering went viral on the social media. These videos were filmed in the Uttar Pradesh, which is the most crucial state when it comes to MP Seats. Election Commission, however, condemned the speculations doing rounds about EVM Tampering.
Pranab Mukherjee claimed to be a believer of 'workmen decide how the institutional tools perform'. He stressed, 'Speculations that challenge the very basis of the democracy can't be entertained. People's Mandate has to be above any iota of reasonable doubt'.
Opposition Parties demanded EC to count all the VVPATs in the constituencies if any error was identified after counting those in 5 polling booths.
