Poll strategist Prashant Kishor on Thursday, resigned from his post as an advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh. In a surprise announcement, he said he wanted to take a temporary break from an active life in public life.
The resignation is significant amid reports that he is likely to take up a key party position in the Congress Party. Souces say that he might join the Congress party as the general secretary and revamp the party. Sources also said that he is likely to focus mainly on the 2024 general elections where he is likely to forge an anti-BJP national alliance.
