Prashant Kumar Mishra Takes Oath As New AP HC CJ
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Oct 2021 9:51 AM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh High Court welcomed the new Chief Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra on Wednesday who took the oath. The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Tummalapalli Kalakshetram and a few dignitaries attended the ceremony.
The Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan administered the oath-ceremony. Besides Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, State High Court judges have attended the ceremony and extended their wishes after he took over the office.
Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra became the third Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court after the bifurcation of the state. He was appointed in the place of Chief Justice Arup Kumar Goswami, whose tenure ended recently.
The newly appointed Andhra Pradesh High Court Chief Justice belongs to Chhattisgarh. He was born in Raigarh on the 29th of August in 1964. He earned a BSC LLB Degrees from Guru Ghasidas University and started his career as a lawyer.
