UK's First Female Sikh & Turban-worn MPs!

UK Elections 2017 have created few records. The results announced Today came as a pleasant surprise as Indian-origin Labour Party Candidates won against those representing the Conservative Party. That's how Britain got it's first Female Sikh MP and Turban-wearing MP.
Labour Party candidate Preet Kaur Gill emerged victorious contesting from Birmingham Edgbaston seat. She convincingly defeated her opponent Caroline Squire by 6,917 votes margin with total 24,124 votes polled for her. 'Delighted to be an MP of Edgbaston where I was born and brought up,' says the first female Sikh MP of Britain Parliament.
On the other hand, Another Labour Party candidate Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi received 34,170 votes to win Slough seat by a margin of 16,998 votes. 'I was humbled. My aim is to serve the people of Slough,' says the First Turban-wearing MP of Britain Parliament.
UK Sikh Federation lauded Labour Party for giving opportunity for Sikhs to contest Elections.
Labour Party fielded 14 Indians & Conservative Party preferred 13 Indians in this election. While 7 Labour Party Candidates won, 5 Conservative Party emerged victorious.
