Preity Fire.. Sehwag Goodbye

Controversies are part and parcel of IPL tourney. Some or the other controversy will come hit the headlines right from the beginning of the tournament. Though there were no big controversies for the last two years, the over-enthusiasm of the team owners and their unnecessary involvement often troubles the players and seniors.

There are no franchise owners who have more knowledge in cricket than the cricketers. They are only investors in the franchisees. We all know that winning and losing is part of any game. But for the owners who always count money, several other aspects play a key role. Recently Kings XI Punjab team grabbed the headlines with such an incident.

Preity Zinta is one of the owners of this franchise. Let us keep aside how much knowledge she has in the cricket but we can surely say that her knowledge is less than senior cricketer Virendra Sehwag. But Preity was reportedly upset with the defeat of her team in the match with Rajasthan Royals team. As lost her cool, she questioned the team mentor Sehwag and fired on him for sending Aswhin at the third position.

Sehwag reportedly got upset with the development and skipped the media meet after the match. Sehwag said to have complained to the management of Kings XI for Preity involving in his work and unnecessarily questioning him. Upset with the development, he is planning to say goodbye to the Kings XI by breaking the contract.

Punjab XI team has won 6 matches out of 10 matched played and it is in the top position. But still, she fired on senior cricketer like Sehwag for a single match loss. This shows the negative aspect of the IPL. If they have money they can buy top cricketers and they can become bosses to them. It is pathetic to see Preity teaching lessons to an international standard cricketer like Virendra Sehwag.
