President Kovind shifted to special room from ICU, his health improving: Rashtrapati Bhavan

The Honorable President of India, Ram Nath Kovind who was shifted to the Delhi facility of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences(AAIMS) from the Army Hospital last week underwent cardiac bypass surgery.

After undergoing successful cardiac bypass surgery, Ram Nath Kovind was shifted to a special room from the ICU. His health is stable now and has been improving steadily.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan took to Twitter to share an update on his health condition. Doctors advised President Kovind to take some rest and have been monitoring his health, the President’s office said in the tweet.

"President Kovind was shifted from the ICU to a special room in the AIIMS today. His health has been improving continuously. Doctors are constantly monitoring his condition and have advised him to take rest," the tweet reads.

Ram Nath Kovind visited the Army Hospital (R&R) last week after complaining of chest discomfort. The hospital referred him to the Delhi AIIMS for further check-up.
