IPL First Match To Be Played On September 19!

In a piece of good news for the cricket fans, Indian Premier League(IPL) Chairman Brijesh Patel confirmed announced the date, when the 13th edition of the Twenty20 cricket league will be started.
Press Trust of India(PTI) quoted Brijesh Patel as saying, the league will be started on the 19th of September in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as fixed earlier. The final match of the tournament will be played on the 8th of November.
However, the Governing Council of the IPL is awaiting the green signal from the government as the tournament is a 51-day long event. This marks the second instance of game playing in the UAE after some matches were played there in the wake of 2014 general elections.
A few days back, the governing body of cricket, International Cricket Council(ICC) postponed the T20 World Cup taking the deadly outbreak of the ongoing pandemic into consideration.
This paved way for the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) to conduct the much-awaited 13th edition of the IPL in the UAE.
