Sixty Eight Inmates In Maharashtra's Akola Jail Tests Positive

Meanwhile, 68 prisoners of the Akola jail and 28 other people in Akola district of Maharashtra tested positive for the virus on Sunday.
"68 inmates in the Akola jail have tested positive for COVID-19 out of which many are asymptomatic. Isolation wards have been made inside the jail. All the arrangements are in place to take care of the inmates," informed Deputy Collector of Akola, Sanjay Khadse.
With this addition, the total number of coronavirus cases in Akola district has gone up to 1,498, the official added.
