Earlier this week, the newly elected Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat was slammed and trolled on social media over his unacceptable comments on women dressing style.
The Chief Minister was invited to an event as a chief guest. Mr. Rawat, who saw parents of the kids wearing ripped jeans, found fault with their dressing style. He opined that parents are setting a bad example by wearing ripped jeans.
Following his derogatory comments, women, and feminists made the #RippedJeansTwitter trending on social media. Under the hashtag, from celebrities to common women, everyone is posting their pictures donning ripped jeans.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is the latest addition to make posts under the viral hashtag. She took to Twitter to share pictures of Narendra Modi and Nitin Gakari wearing RSS uniform, Khaki short, and a white shirt.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister's comments on parents showing their knees in ripped jeans, Priyanka Gandhi captioned the post: 'Oh my God!!! Their knees are showing,'.
