Will Congress Send Priyanka Vadra to Rajya Sabha from Chhattisgarh quota?

Is the Congress Party planning to send its top leader and Gandhi family scion Priyanka Vadra to the Rajya Sabha? Highly placed sources in the Congress say it is highly likely. The Congress Party think-tanks have suggested that Priyanka Gandhi should be sent to the Rajya Sabha from Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh is one state where the Congress has sufficient numbers to send Priyanka Vadra to the Rajya Sabha. In fact, it is the only second state after Rajasthan, where the Congress Party is in power on its own. Hence sending her to Rajya Sabha would not be any problem for the Grand Old Party.
There are two vacancies from Chhattisgarh and the Congress is in a position to win both of them. The last date for filing of nominations is May 31. The polling, if needed, would be held on June 10. Chhattisgarh Legislative Affairs Minister Ravindra Chaube said that the high command would soon take a decision on this.
The Congress feels that sending Priyanka Vadra to Rajya Sabha would send across a clear signal to an aggressive BJP. While Rahul can take on the BJP in the Lok Sabha, Priyanka would attack it in the Rajya Sabha.
Her presence would also energise the opposition, feel the Congress leaders. Hence they are planning to send her to the Rajya Sabha.
