Pro-BJP TV Channel Unhappy With Ravi Prakash?
By: Tupaki Desk | 2 Feb 2021 5:26 AM GMTAre the BJP's relations with media baron Ravi Prakash of TV 9 fame souring? Highly placed sources say yes. They are upset with the way Ravi Prakash is using the pro-BJP media houses to drive his personal agenda. The BJP leaders who are involved in running the pro-BJP TV channels are alarmed at this development.
Of late, the leaders have been witnessing direct attacks on business houses close to the ruling TRS. Interestingly, Ravi Prakash has his own enmity with these business houses over the ownership of some of the Channels he had set up. So, instead of attacking the TRS, the channel's content is being used to attack tese business houses. The business houses, it is being rumoured, have pleaded with BJP top brass about this personal agenda. The business houses, which have developed good relations with the BJP at the national level have also launched a TV channel in poll-bound West Bengal to help the party fight Mamta Banerjee.
Meanwhile, back in Telangana, the BJP is also said to be unhappy over the way the TV channel in Hyderabad has projected the latest Union budget in a poor light. The prime time TV debates on the Telugu channel were also critical of several provisions made in the budget and gave more air time to the critics. The BJP leadership is said to be upset with the coverage. Also, they are unhappy that issues such as Red Fort attacks and insult to national flag by Khalistani elements were not given adequate coverage. Highly placed sources said that the BJP leadership could soon talk to Ravi Prakash about these issues.
