Prof Kodandaram is one of the key person in Telangana agitation movements maintained silence after the state formation. In many occasion he avoided question from media on his role in the new state.
Speaking in Telangana literates meeting Kodandaram made interesting comments on ruling government. He claimed TRS party following footsteps of Andha leaders who betrayed Telangana. Urged to fulfil people expectations in the new state. responding in excess permissions of Adilabad open cast mining he slammed ruling party for destroying environment.
