Prof Nageshwar Gets Left Support In MLC Elections

Though he claims to be an independent candidate with no political affiliation, Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates Constituency candidate Prof K Nageshwar is getting support from various political parties.
The first political party to support him is the CPM. The CPM has said that because of his ideological proximity, the party has decided to extend the support to Prof K Nageshwar. Sources said that soon the CPI and the other Left groups too will extend their support to the professor. Sources said that Leftist trade unions and teachers organizations, which have wide network, will work for Prof. Nageshwar. Sources said that in the past too, the Left trade unions and teachers unions have worked hard in enrolling the voters and convincing them to vote for Dr Nageshwar.
Sources say that Dr Nageshwar has a tacit understanding with the TRS. He will help split the anti-TRS votes and ensure the victory of the TRS candidate. If the TRS does not have enough voters recruited in its favour, it would transfer its votes to Prof Nageshwar and ensure his victory. In both the scenarios, preventing BJP from entering the Legislative Council is the main objective.
