Protocol debate heats up over Alluri statue unveiling

While the unveiling of the Alluri Sitaramaraju statue has become a national news, issues relating to protocol have become the most talked about thing in Andhra Pradesh. The local MP of the place where the statue was being unveiled, could not make it to the meeting. His attempts to fly to Bhimavaram were also thwarted.
The second most important issue was the treatment meted out to TDP working president K Atchen Naidu. Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy himself personally called up Atchen Naidu and told him to be present at the airport to welcome Modi. But, the local district administration denied entry to Atchen Naidu to the airport.
Not just that. Atchen Naidu was not allowed onto the stage also. This denial has now become the talk of the town. Interestingly, the TDP did not criticise Modi or the BJP, but targeted the Jagan administration. Atchen Naidu said that the Jagan Government has used the system to get his name deleted.
It is to be noted that the state government cannot add names to the protocol list, but can delete names. Sources say that the State Government has exercised this authority and removed the name of Atchen Naidu. This has led to a heated debate in the political circles of the state. The absence of two major detractors of the state government and the YSRCP has now become a topic of discussion.
