Will 30-years-Industry Help Pruthvi?

Thirty years industry - this one single dialogue has made comedian Pruthvi a household name. But, Pruthvi seems to entertain political ambitions and is planning to contest in 2019 elections. Of late, he is being seen almost regularly at the YSRCP programmes. He had participated in a slew of deekshas that YS Jagan had organized.

Sources close to him claim that he might prefer to contest from Tadepalligudem in West Godavari. However, Pruthvi, though born in Tadepalligudem, had left it long time ago and is for all practical purposes a Hyderabadi. But, he thinks his filmi glamour and past connections will help him win Tadepalligudem. But, herein lies the catch. Tadepalligudem is going to be a hotly contested seat what with former MLA Kottu Satyanarayna already doing lot of ground work on behalf of the YSR Congress. Kottu is well known and is well-connected in the constituency. He has joined the YSRCP after resigning the Congress. BJP's Manikyala Rao too has been a minister and has considerable following. The TDP has former MLA Eeli Nani, who too is well-rooted in the constituency.

Will Pruthvi be able to battle these biggies? Will he manage to get the ticket from YS Jagan? Let's wait and see how things pan out.
