Public supported Employees agitating against PRC!
By: Tupaki Desk | 4 Feb 2022 5:33 AM GMTThe Andhra Pradesh government employees are locking horns with the government over the PRC issue. As a bid to show their protest against the PRC, the employees gave a call for the massive public rally titled 'Chalo Vijayawada'. The rally became a huge success.
The employees need a special shoot out here as they carried out their protest despite facing a few issues like the cops reportedly detaining a few leaders and the Police setting up special pickets to detain leaders who are heading towards the protesting site in the temple city Vijayawada.
But what came as a big surprise for everyone is that people stood in solidarity with the protesting employees and made arrangements to see that the employees were provided with drinking water. The pictures and videos show the employees getting support from the common people.
The common people had extended their support to the employees to a level that, people irrespective of age have provided water to the employees. Even children provided them with water.
The protests also resulted in a tense situation with the arrests and war of words between employees and the Andhra Pradesh government. As the cops are arresting the employees, the employees reportedly used unique ways to reach the protesting site.
The other day, media reports said that the employees disguised themselves as beggars and aired special buses as wedding buses to reach Vijayawada to take part in the protest.
After the Chalo Vijayawada rally, the protesting employees said that the rally was successful and announced their next actions. They said that the employees will pen down and the indefinite strike will be held from February 7th as per the earlier schedule.
Though the cops told the employees that Section 30 of the police act and section 144 was in place in the region and urged them to cooperate with them, the employees went ahead with the protest and thousands of employees gathered at the BRTS Road in Vijayawada.
The employees got massive support from other unions like the Teachers Unions and other unions that actively participated in the agitation that was held to challenge the PRC recommendations.
