To Oppose the bills and scheme introduced by the Centre, state government, importantly Chief Minister needs utmost commitment and should take a strong stand on the decision.

Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, who openly criticized the farm bills introduced by the Centre took another stop to negate the controversial farm laws.

To see that the controversial bills are not implemented in the state, the government tabled four bills during the Special Session of Punjab State Legislative Assembly and the bills were passed by the House unanimously.

Talking about the decision, the CM said he is very upset over the farm bills framed by the Union government. He said he can't compromise on the interests of the farmers in the state.

Speaking further, he said he is not afraid of resigning from the CM post and he will not step back even his government gets dismissed.

Punjab, which mainly relies on Agriculture is the first state to oppose the bills. The representatives of farmers in the state who returned from the national capital Delhi intensified the protest.

The protests got intensified after the representatives came back to the state who felt embarrassed with Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar's secretary meeting them instead of Minister.
