Punjab Govt To Distribute 50k Smartphones For Girl Students

Given the prevailing situations, many educational institutions opted for online classes so that, the students won't face any obstacles in completing the syllabus. Poor and middle-class students find it difficult to get a smartphone or Laptop/Desktop for this.
To lend a helping hand for those students, the Punjab government decided to provide smartphones for the students. As part of the first step in this step, 50,000 smartphones will be distributed to girl students of 11th and 12th standards.
Talking about the smartphone distribution, Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh said the first shipment of smartphones reached the state and the same will be distributed to girl students soon.
Captain Amarinder Singh recently held a video conference with the youth president of the state and said the smartphones will be provided to the students who can't afford smartphones for online classes.
These smartphones were of Indian smartphone manufacturer company, Lava International Limited so that no issues of Chinese products raises in the future.
