What For Babu Would Move SC?: Purandeswari
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 Jan 2018 4:25 AM GMTFormer Union Minister Purandeswari responded seriously over the comment made by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu that Supreme Court will be approached if Centre fails to fulfill the provisions of AP Reorganisation Act 2014. 'On what grounds, TDP Government would move the Supreme Court? Let them tell us first what promises did BJP fail to fulfill,' she questioned.
Purandeswari opined demanding for Special Category Status again doesn't make any sense as the Chief Minister himself accepted that Special Package is beneficial to the state. '14th Finance Commission has ruled out the possibility of Special Category Status. Whatever benefits Special Status guarantees were offered through Special Package,' reiterates the Senior Politician.
An allegation has been made against TDP Government that it's been publicizing centrally-sponsored schemes as its own. 'Construction of toilet cost Rs 15,000. Centre is offering Rs 12,000 for the construction of each one of them. Be it Pensions, NREGS, CC Roads & Drainages in Villages, Centre has been funding. State Government has been implementing welfare schemes with Central Funds,' she said.
The BJP Leader claims BJP is determined to complete Polavaram Project by 2019. 'Union Minister Nitin Gadkari found Transstroy Company isn't doing justice to the project. He decided to visit the project once in a month to complete the work in time,' she assured.
