Purandeswari Responds On Venkateswar Rao's Political Future

The news of Daggubati Venkateswar Rao leaving the YSR Congress party became a hot topic in the AP politics. It has been reported that AP CM, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy gave an ultimatum to the Daggubati family that the Daggubati couple should either be in BJP or YSR Congress. It has also been reported that Jagan offered Rajya Sabha ticket to Purandeshwari, Rao's wife if she agrees to join the party.
Purandeswari had responded to all these news and agreed that she was offered Rajya Sabha seat. But interestingly, she said that all this happened before the 2019 elections. She also said that she did not receive any offer after that. She made it clear that she will continue in the BJP party.
Purandeswari said that she doesn't know the news that the YSR Congress party kept a condition that the couple should work in a single party. "If you want any further information on this, you should ask Venkateshwar Rao directly," she observed.
According to the media reports, Daggubati Vekatwswar Rao has decided to quit politics as he doesn't have the confidence in winning any seats in the elections. Purandeswari's statements created a sensation in the political circles.
It has been reported that Rao has quit YSR Congress and politics as well and that's why he is staying in Hyderabad currently. To know further information on this we may have to wait a few more days for Rao to give an official statement.
