AP Govt neglecting Rayalseema: Purandeswari

BJP Mahila Morcha In-charge Daggubati Purandeswari stressed the need for Industrial Development in a backward region like Rayalaseema.
During the meeting with BJP Workers in Kodumooru, Puradeswari opined lack of adequate rainfall led to the severe drought situation in Rayalaseema. 'Till date, Only one Industry has been established in Rayalseema. Centre launched Krushi Sinchayi Yojana for the welfare of people. AP Government placed 8 proposals before Centre but none of them were related to Rayalaseema region,' she alleged.
Purandeswari pointed out Centre has been offering Rs 50 crore per year amounting to Rs 1,050 crore for four Rayalaseema & 3 Uttar Andhra Districts for a period of 3 years. She reminded NDA offered to bear 100 percent cost for the construction of Polavaram Project. 'State Government will have to complete Polavaram by 2018 itself,' says the former Union Minister.
