Puvvada Ajay's Big Problem In Khammam
By: Tupaki Desk | 22 Aug 2020 9:27 AM ISTThe BJP may not have much presence in Khammam district, but the party is using the Central Government to torment TRS minister and local strongman Puvvada Ajay. The BJP is frustrating Ajay Puvvada's plans to remove the squatters on Gollapadu Channel.
Gollapadu channel is an important channel in Khammam city and over the years, encroachments began to eat away the channel. Interestingly, it were the communists who encouraged the encroachments first and Ajay Puvvada's father was said to have played a key role in this. Now son Puvvada wants the encroachments to be removed. But the BJP is opposing it. The BJP may not have much popular support, but it is proving to be a flesh in the thorn. The local unit has complained to the National BC Commission, which is a constitutional body. The BJP logic is that most of the squatters are BCs. National BC Commission member and BJP leader Talloju Achari came rushing and held a durbar. Since it is a constitutional body, all the officials went running and obeyed the orders of the commission. They immediately stopped encroachment removal.
Now, Ajay Puvvada is fretting and fuming. He is upset that his beautification plan has gone awry due to the BC commission's diktats. The Rs 70 crore project is now in limbo.
