By: Tupaki Desk | 6 April 2017 1:55 PM GMTPV Sindhu kept scaling new heights ever since her splendid show at the Rio Olympics 2016. She is only posing a threat to all the International Badminton Player after winning the Indian Open Super Series.
In the latest BWF Rankings, PV Sindhu climbed to 2nd Spot from 5th Position. Defeating her Rio Olympic opponent Carolina Marin in two straight sets during Indian Open Super Series final is the reason behind Sindhu's sudden jump in the World Rankings of Women's Badminton.
The Year 2016 will always remain very special for PV Sindhu. She overshadowed Saina Nehwal, who won bronze in London Olympics, by bagging silver medal at Rio Olympics. Later, The Young Shuttler won China Open Super Series and Malaysia Masters titles. She even finished second at the Hong Kong Super Series.
Saina Nehwal is the only Indian to attain No.1 Position in the BWF Rankings so far. Surely, PV Sindhu will be aiming for this milestone now.
