We don't need Special Status: AP Minister

Minister Manikyala Rao on Thursday made sensational comments over the Special Category Status. 'AP doesn't require Special Category Status. BJP wishes to develop the state without Special Status. Centre will take care of each and every need of AP,' he told.
If AP really doesn't require Special Status, Why did Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley demanded then UPA Government to extend the term to 10 Years during the debate in Rajya Sabha? For what sake did Narendra Modi promise Special Status to the people of AP during the election campaign in Tirupati? Does Manikyala Rao have answers for these questions?!
People of AP weren't gonna trust either Narendra Modi or BJP anymore if Special Status wasn't accorded. BJP is playing with the fire and the party will have no future if this is how it backtracks on the promises. The Saffron Party is already facing the heat from all quarters and they should address the issue before it leads to a law & order situation.
