Sadly, MSD could no more use this famous trick on the field because of the new rule introduced by International Cricket Council (ICC). If the onfield Umpire finds anyone from the Bowling Team willfully faking, Then Batting Team will be gifted 5 runs as bonus.

Former Cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar firmly opposed the new rule saying it's the most ridiculous law ICC has brought in the recent times. He questioned, 'Why don't ICC penalize the Batting Side 5 runs when a Batsman fakes a step out & does not to put the bowler off?'
