Question Paper Leakage: TDP has a lot to hide, but wants to expose YSRCP

The leakage of Class X examination question papers is now the topic of hot debate. While the leakage shows the failure of the government machinery in conducting the elections in an effective manner, it has now become a tool in the hands of the Opposition TDP to attack the YSRCP government. The TDP is demanding that the newly appointed education minister Botsa Satayanarayana resign from his post.

The TDP is going ballistic on the issue. It wants Botsa to resign. If Botsa has to be spared, then Chief Minister YS Jagan should own up the responsibility and resign, the TDP demanded. TDP senior leader and former minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu has attacked the YSRCP government and demanded accountability.

But, leakages of examination question papers is not something new. This has happened even during the TDP era. In fact, there were allegations galore over question paper leakages in Narayana group of educational institutions.

Narayana was a responsible minister in the Chandrababu government, while his close relative Ganta Srinivasa Rao was the minister for education. But none resigned at that time. Then why is the TDP demanding the scalp of the YSRCP ministers?

In fact , Narayana College principal Giridhar Reddy was charged with leaking the question papers in the above incident. But, no action was ever taken. The political rivals ask as to how the TDP is trying to make it an issue, when it has its own skeletons to keep tumbling out of the cupboard.
