Kodali Nani contended that it was a sort of quid pro quo arrangement between the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Ramudu.Nani alleges that Ramudu got extension of his service after his date of birth was corrected in the year 1993. ‘’He was supposed to retire in July 2014.But he was appointed as DGP on personal grounds. He also got extension after his correction of date of birth earlier. The appointment of Ramudu was illegal’’Nani mentioned in petitionContrary to rules, Ramudu was appointed as DGP just days before he was to retire in July 2014 and was given a two-year extension, Nani said. This is in addition to the two-year extra service he got through correction of his date of birth earlier, he added and urged the court to set aside the appointment apart from declaring the action of AP in appointing him as illegal.
