Former Kerala MLA Binoy Viswam challenged the law making Aadhaar link with PAN Card mandatory in Supreme Court. 'I don't have an Aadhaar card till date as SC passed the order that it wasn't mandatory. If not enrolled for Aadhaar by July 2017, PAN card becomes invalid under the new legislation. But, Introduction of Section 139AA of the IT Act, 1961 is now forcing me to get an Aadhaar card. This comes under violation of Right to Privacy,' he mentioned in the petition.
