Race for credit begins among govt employees' union leaders on PRC
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 Feb 2022 1:34 PM GMTThe PRC issue and the agitation of the government employees has ended amicably in Andhra Pradesh. But now, a race has begun to claim credit for the success of the agitation. The different JACs of the employees are now trying get one up on the other.
The government and the JACs have reached an understanding over the fitment, HRA, additional quantom of pension and others. The employees now feel that the deal they got now is better than the earlier one. The CCA proposal too has been shelved for now. All these show that the government wisely avoided confrontation even if it meant huge financial loss.
Now the leaders of the JAC are claiming individual credit. One employees union leader, who did not attend the meeting with YS Jagan, is said to be claiming credit for forcing the government to reverse the PRC. Another JAC leader is said to be claiming credit for bringing all the JACs on one platform and for waging a united battle.
Another group is claiming credit for reopening the PRC, which was closed after discussion with Jagan. This group is claiming that it has forced all the three unions to revisit the agreement and launch an agitation afresh. Some leaders are claiming credit for planning the massive show of strength in Vijayawada city. Each group is said to be throwing parties to their leaders and activists.
