Racist Attack Against Sikh Man in USA

A Sikh-American Man was brutally assaulted by an American because of his Sikh religious appearance, race and national origin.
Inderjit Singh Mukker was attacked on Tuesday soon after the assailant approached his car yelling, 'Terrorist, Go back to your country, Bin Laden!'. He then punched the elderly man repeatedly until he lost his consciousness. This incident which happened in Chicago just few days before September 11th terror attacks caught the attention of the World.
Post surviving the brutal assault, Inderjit commented: 'No American should be afraid to practice their faith in our country'. He wants the Authorities to investigate the hate crime incident and feels its a best example of how minority communities alike Sikhs were treated in USA.
Inderjit Singh Mukker is a US Citizen. The assault took place while he was on his way to a Grocery store. He received 6 stitches and currently undergoing treatment. The accused was taken into custody.
