X

Just few months after the suicide of Rishiteswari in Guntur's Acharya Nagarjuna University, Ragging surfaced in the campus again and Seniors were caught harassing First Year Students. Juniors were forced to come to Seniors hostel rooms, write their notes and entertain them with songs.

After knowing about the ragging incident involving two first year Architecture Students, ANU in-charge VC & Registrar have severely punished five senior students (3 boys, 2 girls). While three of the Students (Vinetheswar, Manju Sainath & Swetha) were debarred, Two Others (Manoj, Surendra) were suspended for Two Months. In addition, They were asked to vacate the hostel with immediate effect and would never be gaining entry again. Orders were passed in the presence of Senior Students Parents.

AP Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao spoke with ANU Authorities over phone and order for a detailed probe into the ragging incident in the campus.
