The politics of Andhra Pradesh has been revolving around the Special Category Status. In the wake of Centre making it clear AP won't be accorded with Special Category Status, Opposition Parties have been seeing it as a weapon to target TDP Government.
AP Congress chief Raghuveera Reddy lambasted Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for praising himself in the presence of PM Narendra Modi during the powerpoint presentation on drought situation in AP. 'Why would Centre offer financial assistance if CM gives an impression that everything is fine under his rule? On one side, Naidu mentions about Revenue Deficit. On the other hand, He projects AP has been attaining highest growth rate under his rule. Why didn't Naidu complain to Modi about the illegal irrigation projects of Telangana? Just because of Cash-for-Vote scam, Chandrababu is scared of KCR. In the current situation, We want a CM who is a fighter not beggar!,' he told.
Raghuveera alleged Chandrababu Naidu is ruining the lives of AP People for Union Cabinet berths, Cash-for-Vote, Land Mafia and other Corrupt Practices. He accused Babu of wasting tax payers money for travel expenses and publicity.
