Will Raghuveera Leave Congress?

Is Kiran Kumar Reddy's entry spurring an exodus from the Andhra Pradesh Congress? Several Congress leaders are unhappy at Kiran Kumar Reddy's coming back to the Congress and are planning to leave the Congress if he is made the PCC chief.

Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was the last chief minister of the undivided AP, left the Congress ahead of the 2014 elections and formed Jai Samaikyandhra Party. The party was routed in the elections and Kiran Kumar Reddy went into hibernation. All these four years, he had kept quiet, while the likes of Raghuveera Reddy toiled hard to keep the party alive in AP. They toured the state and held meets to bring back those who left the party. But, now, Kiran Kumar Reddy has re-entered the party and is trying to become the PCC chief. Seniors are unhappy about this.

If Kiran Reddy is made the PCC chief, many could leave the party. The list, according to reliable sources, includes PCC chief Raghuveera Reddy. Raghuveera might simply resign from the party and join the YSRCP.

"Raghuveera is already upset at the importance being given to Kiran Kumar Reddy. He might quit the party the moment Kiran Reddy is made PCC chief," says the source.
