In Talk: Rahul Gandhi's 55 Years Cut Off!
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Dec 2017 12:21 PM ISTWhen Leadership changes in a Political Party, One can expect few Old Practices to end and New Practices to kick off. That's what happening in Congress Party after Sonia Gandhi retired as AICC Chief.
Rahul Gandhi seems to have set the 55 Years Cut Off for fielding candidates in Elections on behalf of the Congress Party. Which means, Aged People should not expect party tickets in the National Party.
The Congress Prince is firm on his stand that better results can be achieved if People under the age of 55 were alone preferred as party candidates. He doesn't want to succumb to any pressure in this matter. Leaders above the age of 55 could be offered respectable posts instead of party tickets.
Whereas, Senior Congress Leaders were unable to digest the tough call taken by Party President. They are of the feeling that 55 isn't a big age to ask anybody to retire and even Government Employees end their service only at the age of 58 or 60.
