Rahul Gandhi Is Back, But Has Little Time For Campaign
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Oct 2019 4:51 AM GMTRahul Gandhi is back. He has gone on a foreign tour and has since returned. But, he is not going to campaign for the party either in Maharashtra or in Haryana or in any of the 64 assembly bypolls across the country anytime soon. He has other pressing engagements.
Yes... On Thursday and Friday, he will be busy with attending courts. On Thursday, he will appear before a court in Surat in connection with a defamation case filed against him. A major part of his day would be spent waiting for his turn in the court. On Friday, he would be in Ahmedabad. This time too, he is going attend the court again in connection with his comments that Ahmedabad Bank was involved in trading old and demonetised currency notes with new ones.
It is only from Saturday that he would be available for the party work. So, his campaign can start only after Monday. The former president has spared just three days for the campaign - two days for Maharashtra and one day for Haryana. This means, he would be addressing just four or five rallies while Amit Shah will address as many as 18 rallies and Modi will address 10 rallies in Maharashtra alone.
